This is very rare in business circle, and may be difficult to practice in Nigeria, but the bottom line is that your employees are not machines; they need a level of empathy from you to be able to carry out their function effectively. Think of ways to add value to the life of you staff. Know them by their first name and show interest in their family issues. Through this you will develop loyal workforces, who will one day pay you back in their own little way. Do you have a profit sharing and health benefits plan enough to keep your employee from seeking work elsewhere? Do they feel appreciated when they perform exceptionally or they only see your face when you want to
